Lucy Hughes
I am a Registered Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
Some areas I have worked with
I work with clients who may be experiencing emotional distress or going through a difficult time in their lives. This can show up in many ways, including anxiety, low mood, , stress, low self-esteem, burnout, relationship difficulties, or feeling stuck or overwhelmed. I also have experience supporting people who are working through past trauma or trying to make sense of challenging life experiences.
Approaches I use
I am an integrative counsellor, which means I draw on different approaches depending on your needs. I aim to create a space where clients feel safe, accepted and able to talk openly about what’s going on for you. I believe each person is the expert in their own life, and counselling should move at a pace that feels comfortable and right for you.
As a Counsellor
As a counsellor, I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can explore thoughts and feelings freely. I see counselling as a collaborative process where we work together to build understanding, gently explore patterns, and help you reconnect with your strengths and inner resources.
About me
When I’m not counselling, you’ll usually find me outdoors or doing something creative. I’m an avid wild swimmer and love spending time in nature; gardening, camping, or out for long walks. I also love music and have a bit of a passion for interiors. These things help keep me grounded and bring balance to my life.
