Jackie Gladden
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I have been a practicing counsellor for 23 years and working with the North East Wales Mind for the past 2 years.
Some areas I have worked with
I am happy to work with any issue you would like to bring to your counselling sessions, these might include depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, relationships issues, bereavement and loss.
Approaches
My approach is essentially Person Centred but if a more structured approach is required by the client, I am able to offer a Solution Focused approach (SFT), still following the needs of the client but looking for reasons why the client is feeling held back from achieving the life they want to live, working with achievable goals, chosen by the client during their sessions.
I can also offer creative therapies, writing, art, metaphor, and imagery.
As a Counsellor
I find being trusted to be a part of someone’s personal life and seeing the client achieve the life they want to live, very rewarding and a real privilege.
About me
Self-care is an important part of my life; I enjoy walking with my dogs in the country and along the coast very relaxing.
